Authority and Leadership

In the recent teaching by my Mentor and 420 Fire Ministries (www.420fire.org), Founder Scott Nary, the focus was on biblical authority, apostolic leadership, obedience, humility, and Kingdom stewardship. Central to the discussion was the idea that authority in God’s Kingdom is not about control or dominance, but faithful stewardship modeled after Jesus Christ.

The teaching explored how spiritual authority grows through maturity and calling, while spiritual power grows through obedience. Key biblical passages included James 4:6, Romans 13:1–2, Hebrews 13:17, 1 Corinthians 14:33 and 40, and 1 Samuel 15:23.

Another major emphasis was the distinction between a traditional church gathering and an apostolic hub. While churches gather believers, apostolic ministry equips, builds, sends, and expands Kingdom influence regionally and internationally.

The discussion also challenged believers to pursue consistency and faithfulness rather than depending on emotional motivation. Participants were reminded that true Christian leadership reflects humility, integrity, service, and accountability.

Ultimately, the message pointed believers back to Jesus’ model of servant leadership and encouraged the Body of Christ to embrace obedience, honor, biblical order, and transformational discipleship.
